Me and Acadia

Well, we did it again!! I was nervous about trying to do this entire stretch of Ferguson Road but we accomplished that and had time to do roadside cleanup heading into Dunbar. The amount of people that showed up amazed me. We once again had about 50 volunteers! I can't thank you all enough...Carl and Gene from PA Cleanways, all of the cachers, everyone from the Pechin Church, Pastor Mayle (also for use of the hall), my family/friends, Pete and John from the township, the kids from C'ville high school and their teacher, Justin.
I was there on Friday with the students, Justin, Carl and Gene. We got a nice start on the trash and I think it was a really great experience for the kids. Nice job!

Saturday--we made the work look easy. Everyone jumped right in and worked so hard. We had a frontloader and 2 trucks picking up the garbage. We easily filled one dumpster and had to pile bags beside our nice pile of tires. We started with 370 garbage bags and ran out. Carl had to make a garbage bag run---unbelievable!!

We went back to Pechin Fellowship Hall after our work and and ate, drank, chatted and gave away some prizes. The amount of food was crazy...we even had Pechin burgers, funny.

Again a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone. I appreciate everyone and again walked away with an awesome feeling and felt proud.

It's that time again!

This year we will playing in garbage in Dunbar along Ferguson Road.
There are several dumping areas along the roadside.... not just one big
steep hill!

Carl from PA Cleanways is still working out some things with the
township. And I'm still looking for a place to meet afterwards. Any
suggestions, let me know!

Last year was a huge success. Hope to see you there. Gather up some
friends/family. We need all the help we can get!

Last year's event...

Booksigning this weekend for "The Second Line"!

I am pleased to announce that my first booksigning for "The Second Line" will be held at the Borders Express in the Century III Mall on March 8th from 2 pm until 5 pm! Drop on by, pick up a free chocolate or two and a sample chapter of "The Second Line"!

Information is power - and being a corporate thief means getting what your client needs, especially on their competitors and their products. Jackie St. George is one of the best in her field and she won't stop at anything to get the inside scoop on a company's new product.

Through a series of strange events she now finds herself in the middle of a much bigger problem than just a case of corporate espionage. She doesn't know what to do or who to trust - if anyone. But business is still business, though and what's a woman got to do to get paid around here?

What the reviewers are saying:

"Nantus creates a true villian in the centuries old vampire, Janus---any bloodsucker who dares to corrupt chocolate must pay! A sexy and fun debut!"

--Cathy Clamp, USA Today bestselling author

Romantic Times Book Reviews gave "The Second Line" THREE stars and declared the characters to be "fascinating"

Instructions to the Century III Mall Borders Express can be found here:

and, of course, please visit my website at for a sample chapter and plenty of other free goodies!

    okay okay

hey there

i realize i am way older than both of the other members of this community but i just can't hide that fayette county pride! (ha) i was born in connellsville, though i grew up in the mon valley. most of my family still lives in c-ville and i spend most holidays and vacations there. it's such a beautiful place and as much as i hated it when i was younger, i miss it now and kind of want to move back eventually. neat-o.

This will be the first in an installment of 3+ trips around Fayette County, using the Fayette Area Coordinated Transportation system. This is Fayette County's only form of public transportation. Having routes that take one through at least 80% of the County, these trips will be the perfect way to get to know the the land and peoples of our home county. Tour #2, dated 12/3/05, will take us to Connellsville, and tour #3 will include Point Marion, other stops and the date of this tour TBA.

When the series is finished, an independent magazine will be released detailing the tours. Included in this publication will be photos, travel logs, and interviews with bus drivers and FACT patrons.

Be sure to tell all your friends to join this community-it will highlight events and activities regarding Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and bring a sense of community togetherness.

I best be seen yunz up air!
